Special teams was the subject of an entry less than an hour ago, but sometimes people like to know who is actually manning those units.

It’s not always easy to scribble down every last number going on or off the field in such situations —- not so much for kickoffs as punts or field goals. But fortunately, three weeks worth of notes provide some extra data to look at.

Most of these lists came straight from Maryland’s 32-31 loss to Middle Tennessee. All could clearly shift, but it’s certainly interesting to see who is doing what:

KICKOFF

21-Trenton Hughes
13-Kerry Boykins
46-Avery Murray
25-Kevin Dorsey
9-Richard Taylor
43-Nick Ferrara
53-Hakeem Sule
15-Drew Gloster
29-Austin Walker
3-LaQuan Williams
6-Anthony Wiseman

Of note: In the James Madison game, the Terps used Nolan Carroll, Emani Lee-Odai and Darin Drakeford instead of Murray, Gloster and Wiseman.

KICKOFF RETURN

21-Trenton Highes
15-Drew Gloster
29-Austin Walker
25-Kevin Dorsey
53-Hakeem Sule
13-Kerry Boykins

89-Matt Furstenburg
36-Taylor Watson
45-Tommy Galt

20-Gary Douglas

82-Torrey Smith

Notes: Boykins, Sule and Dorsey didn’t start the opener. Instead, Antwine Perez, Jamari McCollough and Demetrius Hartsfield got the nod.

PUNT BLOCK/RETURN

21-Trenton Hughes
22-Cameron Chism
34-Devonte Campbell
13-Kerry Boykins
52-Darin Drakeford
83-Emani Lee-Odai
29-Austin Walker
3-LaQuan Williams
25-Kevin Dorsey
6-Anthony Wiseman
12-Kenny Tate

Notes: This is actually from the James Madison game, since the unit I scribbled down for Maryland for the Middle Tennessee game was more of a base defense anticipating a possible fourth-down attempt. This grouping popped up at least twice in the home opener.

PUNT

35-Travis Baltz
92-Tim Downs

59-Demetrius Hartsfield
2-Antwine Perez
1-Terrell Skinner
38-Cory Jackson
12-Kenny Tate
21-Trenton Hughes
15-Drew Gloster
54-Adrian Moten

Notes: As for the the 11th guy, I have Hakeem Sule and Cameron Chism scribbled in my notes over the last couple games, and Richard Taylor was credited with a tackle on Baltz’s last punt on Saturday. Consider this a bit of covering all the bases.

FIELD GOAL

43-Nick Ferrara
35-Travis Baltz
92-Tim Downs

75-Justin Gilbert
76-R.J. Dill
89-Matt Furstenburg
38-Cory Jackson
36-Taylor Watson
45-Tommy Galt
66-Maurice Hampton
77-Andrew Gonnella

FIELD GOAL BLOCK

56-Deege Galt
96-A.J. Francis
90-Travis Ivey
44-Derek Drummond
54-Adrian Moten
33-Alex Wujciak
59-Demetrius Hartsfield
12-Kenny Tate
22-Cameron Chism
1-Terrell Skinner
6-Anthony Wiseman

Notes: Chism took over for Nolan Carroll last week. Had Jared Harrell in Drummond’s place for the James Madison game, but that could be a split situation much like their work on defense.
