A little football scheduling item this afternoon, as Richmond announced future major-college opponents through 2021.
One of them —- in 2015, to be precise —- is Maryland.

That means the Terrapins’ nonconference schedule is likely set. Bowling Green is set to begin a 2-for-1 series in College Park on Sept. 12, 2015 (the other two games are in 2018 and 2019). And the Terps’ series with West Virginia continues through 2017; that year’s meeting will be in Morgantown.
The ACC will switch to a nine-game conference scheduling model next year when Pittsburgh and Syracuse join the league, leaving teams with only three non-league schedule slots in football.
Maryland is 12-5-1 all-time against the Spiders, a program in the former Division I-AA that plays in the CAA. The teams last met in 1977, a 27-24 victory in Richmond.
