The Caps are not practicing today, but just got off the phone with Bruce Boudreau and he said he doesn’t expect Shaone Morrisonn or Sergei Fedorov to make the trip to Carolina to face the Hurricanes. He said Viktor Kozlov will be on the plane to Raleigh, and he won’t make a decision on the goaltender until tomorrow.

Washington and Carolina are tied atop the Southeast Division, and the Hurricanes are likely to be smarting from last T’uesday’s 3-2 loss at the Phone Booth when Alexander Semin had two goals in the final three minutes.

“I’m sure they’re waiting for us, salivating,” Boudreau said after the game last night. “I think we’re tied with them now and it’s like taking something away that they believe is theirs. It is going to be a quite a test for our team.”
