Michal Neuvirth, fresh off a win in Edmonton on Saturday night, will get another look for the Caps as they face the Buffalo Sabres at Verizon Center tonight.
It will be the fourth start of the season for Neuvirth, and it is a bit of a surprise considering he will start consecutive games for the first time since being recalled to replace an injured Semyon Varlamov.

“He won last game,” Bruce Boudreau said. “He had lost three in a row and we just want to see, now that he’s got a little confidence, what he can do. It is more of a “now that he’s won and he’s practiced with us a little bit and we thought he played pretty solid in Edmonton — let’s see if he can be solid two games in a row.”
Shaone Morrisonn (lower body) and John Erskine (healthy scratch) are back in the lineup on defense.
