The Caps just went through practice here at St. Pete Times Forum. I got here shortly after practice started and Viktor Kozlov wasn’t on the ice, but he may have been on the ice for a few minutes at the start. It would seem he is doubtful at best since he didn’t go through the whole skate.

On defense, Mike Green and Shaone Morrisonn were together almost the entire time. Ditto for Tom Poti and Staffan Kronwall. The other five guys (Alzner, Jurcina, Erskine, Schultz and Pothier) all rotated with each other. Bruce Boudreau said he wants to use all eight healthy defensemen this weekend. Kronwall said Boudreau “told him to be ready,” but he also didn’t really know what that meant.
Pothier said he feels 100 percent and has passed most of the tests needed to gain clearance, but Dr. Jim Kelly in Colorado wants him to by “symptom free.” He is working on arranging another trip out to Colorado to try and gain clearance.
Boudreau was predictably coy about the goaltending situation, so we’ll probably have to wait until tomorrow to find out if Michal Neuvirth is going to make his NHL debut in the next couple of days.
