It wasn’t much of a practice today — most of the guys spent more time autographing stuff than skating. There was still plenty of buzz about Alex Ovechkin’s goal from last night.

* Bruce Boudreau said Ovechkin’s foot is well enough for him to play tomorrow night.

* Viktor Kozlov was on the ice but came off relatively early. He said his groin feels better, but he is unsure of when exactly he will be back in the lineup. That would make it seem like tomorrow is not an option, but stay tuned.

* Nine players in NHL history have won back-to-back Hart trophies. Only one (Dominik Hasek) has done it in the past 20 years. Alex Ovechkin certainly looks like he is going to make it two (more on that in tomorrow’s paper).
