The four coaches in the all-star game just had some time with the media. One set of questions was pertinent to the Caps and Alex Ovechkin: Who will start in place of the injured Sidney Crosby and will Alex Ovechkin and Evgeni Malkin play together?
Boston coach Claude Julien said he hasn’t been told yet who or how the extra starting spot will be chosen — he’s not sure if the league will take of it or if he and Montreal coach Guy Carbonneau will chose.

As for whether or not the former roommates will play together, both Julien and Carbonneau said in unison, “We’ll ask them.”
