Nicklas Backstrom has been named to the Sophomore squad for the YoungStars game, which will be the day before the big boys game in Montreal. Here are the full rosters.

Karl Alzner did not make the rookie team. There were only two defensemen on each roster of 10 players (hey, if you’re going to play a silly game of 3-on-3 there isn’t going to be any defense anyway). Drew Doughty and Luke Schenn were probably the obvious picks based on their play (and hype) this season.
