Just chatted with Mike Green on the phone, who arrived in Las Vegas today. He said he’s been working out at Crash Conditioning in Calgary, and hopes to do a little relaxing while in Las Vegas.

He said he had some tests done after the season, and his illness was confirmed, but he didn’t want to say what it was (but it was more than just the flu). Green also said his shoulder still bothers him every now and then, but he is rehabbing it and surgery won’t be necessary.

Green also said he watched the Stanley Cup final, and was glad to see it go a full seven games. He also said he thinks any extra pressure to win a Cup in D.C. now that the Penguins have won is for the media and not his teammates, but he does think the Capitals are close.
