GM George McPhee just said he hasn’t heard anything from anybody at the NHL about playing in this year’s Winter Classic, which is reportedly going to be played at Fenway Park in Boston on New Year’s Day. He said if his team was going to be in the game, he would have expected to hear from somebody by now.

So don’t make those flight reservations for Boston anytime soon, it appears.
