Caps coach Bruce Boudreau just met with the media and talked about of a couple of topics. Here’s what he had to say:

On Sami Lepisto: “We are very deep with NHL defenseman. If you have the luxury of being able to get a pick for somebody you don’t perceive as being in the top six or seven on your team, then you do it.”

On not making a trade for veteran help this weekend: “You got to applaud George for this, but we can come in here and say, ‘We want to do this and we want to do that,’ but if the opportunity isn’t there to do it, you don’t make snap judgments just to do it. You have to wait for the right things to come along. George is so good at that – he doesn’t flinch.”
