Donald Brashear and Matt Bradley both came out on the wrong end of fights in the first period. Matt Bradley is back with some stitches, but Brashear is not on the bench. He took a solid left hook from Wade Belak that stunned him and knocked him to the ice.
UPDATE: A team spokesman says Brashear has a sprained knee. The Caps are going to need some toughness from Hershey for Thursday’s tilt in Philly if Brashear can’t play. That’s not the team you want to play with your top two fighters hurting (In theory, Bradley might not be able to fight, either). Graham Mink would be a good guess as a call-up.
