The Caps are going through the morning skate here at RBC Center. Mike Green and Donald Brashear are on the ice. So is Chris Bourque, who was called up to replace Quintin Laing, who is still in a Tampa hospital. A team spokesman said Laing’s doctor is going to wait until Monday to decide whether to do surgery on Laing’s spleen.

Boyd Gordon is also now going on the ice, sans one glove because of his broken finger.

UPDATE: Mike Green says if it were up to him, he would definitely play tonight. We will find out from Bruce Boudreau before the game if Green will be in the lineup or not.

Interestingly, the first time Green was asked how he felt he said he’s had the flu the past couple of days, but now he feels fantastic. The second time he was asked, he said he was pretty sore after the game in Tampa but he feels 100 times better now.

So check back later tonight to find out if Green will return from his flu/wind knocked out/rib/side problem.

Also, it looks like Jose Theodore will start in net tonight. From the guys still on the ice, it looks like Milan Jurcina will be the odd man out on defense and Donald Brashear will not be back from a sprained knee.
