Alex Ovechkin says he’s ready to go tomorrow. Bruce Boudreau said Sergei Fedorov has a cold, but Michael Nylander has an upper-body injury from the Toronto game and is out at least through tomorrow. He said Nylander should be available in the coming week.
Tom Poti said he will wait and see how it feels in the morning skate, but he hopes to play. Boudreau said Tyler Sloan is an emergency recall, so he can only play if one of the other guys is hurt. He was talking about Poti, but the Caps could probably officially put him in place of Nylander and Ovechkin in for a defenseman if they wanted to.
