Eric Fehr was on the ice with Group A today (though he was jokingly miffed about not having a nameplate on the sweater or a spot on the camp roster that was released). He was wearing a yellow no-contact jersey, but went through a lot of the drills.

“I think the doctors don’t want me to take any risks where I put myself in a vulnerable position,” Fehr said. “Shooting feels fine. Skating feels fine, so I’ll just take part in that for a while before I can start hitting again.”

As for a potential timeline …

“It is kind of just day-by-day,” Fehr said. “I have a feeling it probably going to be about two weeks before I can start full contact. That could change — I feel pretty good right now, so we’ll see how it goes.”

In other news, goaltender Braden Holtby missed the second half of Group A’s practice with what looks like a lower-body injury. Try to have more of an update later. Bruce Boudreau doesn’t talk to the media until all three sessions are done today.
