New Jersey voters appear poised to choose President Obama and Democratic Sen. Robert Menendez by a comfortable margin in this fall’s elections, according to a poll released Tuesday.
A Monmouth University poll shows Mr. Obama with a lead of 52 percent to 37 percent over Republican challenger Mitt Romney. Mr. Menendez also leads his U.S. Senate race by 15 points, receiving 49 percent of support from likely voters compared with 34 percent for his challenger, Republican state Sen. Joseph Kyrillos.

Polls consistently have shown the president and Mr. Menendez as double-digit favorites in the Garden State, although polling in the Senate race has been marked by a relatively high number of undecided voters.
A poll last week by the Philadelphia Inquirer showed the senator with an 11-point lead, but 25 percent of respondents were undecided or favored a third candidate.
