Washington Nationals fans should remember the new Attorney General of the United States.
Eric Holder was one of the local investors recruited by Indianapolis radio mogul Jeff Smulyan in his bid to buy the Washington Nationals in 2006.
Holder may still have a role to play in the baseball franchise. He is the top law enforcement officer in the country, overseeing the Justice Department. And the federal investigation into financial abuses in the scouting and signing of Dominican baseball players, which includes the Nationals, is still ongoing.
I will be on The Sports Reporters on ESPN 980 AM on Thursday, Feb. 5, from 5 to 7 p.m.
