Kanye West is at it again, this time calling himself “the voice of his generation,” the AP is reporting.

Um, Kanye, you just can’t just proclaim yourself as the voice of your generation.  You’ve got to earn that title, then have someone else proclaim you the voice of your generation.  Then, and only then, do you accept the title — and you must accept the title with reluctance, humility and/or irony.


Think Bob Dylan.

Otherwise, you just sound like Leonardo DiCaprio in “Titanic”: “I’m king of the world!
