PETA protested against the Ringling Bros. circus in Houma, La., yesterday by displaying in a cage a scantily-clad woman painted to resemble a tiger, Houma Today is reporting.

The original plan was for the protester to be nude, but publicly nudity is illegal in Terrebonne Parish, where the traveling circus has pitched its tents for several performances.

It’s probably for the best. Nude protests tend to make people forget what the protesters are protesting about, especially men.
