Western financial markets are crumbling, and there is only one hope on the horizon — China.

I’m confused.

The formerly capitalist country of Venezuela elected Hugo Chavez, who proceeded to impose socialist measures that have trashed his country’s economy.

The economies of the capitalist Western countries have begun to crumble, and now their leaders are employing peri-socialist measures to rescue them.

But the communist nation of China, which only recently has begun to adopt capitalist measures, is in a position to gain from the West’s collapse.

So, capitalism wins?
