Four U.S. government officials say there is no indication that North Korea is planning to test-launch a long-range ballistic missile capable of hitting near Hawaii, Bloomberg is reporting.

Nonetheless, Defense Secretary Robert Gates has deployed missile interceptors and radar systems to enhance the islands’ defenses.

North Korea probably is developing its missile technology to sell abroad, but its idea of market research is a little sketchy.
