Hurricanes likely will wreck foreclosed houses and scatter their debris because no one is taking care of those properties, which will lose even more of their value, the AP is reporting.

Few communities in Southern states are moving to protect those properties. As many as 14 tropical storms — including four to seven hurricanes — are expected to hit the U.S. this year.

Well, look on the bright side.  Maybe hurricanes will keep arsonists away from all of those foreclosed houses.
