Congressional Democrats have blasted Republicans for publicly discussing classified information by revealing they had been told about harsh interrogation techniques during a closed-door Intelligence Committee hearing, the Hill is reporting.

Republican members on the Intelligence Committee told the Hill in on-the-record interviews that they were informed that the controversial methods have led to information that prevented terrorist attacks.

I don’t know if the Democrats are more upset that Republicans told the press about the contents of the hearing or that the harsh interrogations produced information that prevented attacks.

Because it’s kinda hard to prosecute somebody for saving a lot of lives.  I’m just saying.

Politics.  You gotta laugh — or else you’ll develop a nervous tic.
