A couple looking for seashells on a Texas beach instead found 53 pounds of pure cocaine wrapped neatly in packages, KFDM TV in Beaumont, Texas, is reporting.

Police said the cocaine has a street value of half a million dollars and was probably ditched overboard to evade law enforcement. They are seeking the cocaine’s rightful owner.

Apparently, the cocaine washed ashore at high tide.

The beachcombers that stumbled upon the cocaine said they’ll go searching for old coins next week.  Maybe they’ll hit the jackpot.

Police have set up a hotline for the cocaine’s owner to call in and claim it.  It’s 1-800-STING-ME.
