The Washington Wizards have lost two straight, the Boston Celtics have won eight straight. After spending the last few days stressing getting back to the basics, Flip Saunders is hopign to see more aggressiveness out of his players.
Saunders wants to see the Wizards attack on both ends of the court and get the Celtics out of their comfort zone. You’d think they would be out of their comfort zone since they’re on the road, but that’s not the case for Boston, who is 9-1 on the road.

“We hope to maintain aggressiveness both on defense and at the offensive end,” Saunders said. “If you’re aggressive and playing at that level, then you’re going to react and not think as much. I think we’ve got to get to that point where we’re not thinking, but we’re more reacting.”
Saunders expects Gilbert Arenas to be tested tonight and predicted that Rajon Rondo will come right at Agent Zero. It’ll be interesting to see how Arenas handles that defensive assignment in addition to trying to play with more aggression on the offensive end. It’s been a struggle for him to do so as is, and having to guard a speedy, aggressive young PG in Rondo might be a disaster in the making.
The Wizards will start Gilbert Arenas, Nick Young, Caron Butler, Antawn Jamison and Brendan Haywood. The Celtics will start Rajon Rondo, Ray Allen, Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and Kendrick Perkins.
The Wizards tonight are unveiling the patch that has been designed to honor former owner Abe Pollin, who died three weeks ago. The black circular patch with script letters “Abe” is on the Wizards right shoulder, and a pair of larger, identical logo will be on the court.
