While the Preakness is expected to have a full field of 14 horses, Friday’s race for the fillies has half of that, as Wyomia headlines the group entered in the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes.

Wyomia, who is a 9-5 favorite on the morning line, finished sixth in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies’ Turf back in November and won the Suncoast Stakes at Tampa Bay Downs in March. She has been at Pimlico since May 10, preparing for the $250,000 stakes race.


The other stakes winner in the field is Hot Summer, who captured a Grade 3 race at Aqueduct in April.

Also Friday is the inaugural Female Jockey Challenge, featuring 10 female riders, including Rosie Napravnik, who was on Pants On Fire in the Kentucky Derby.
