BALTIMORE | With a group of fans watching and applauding and snapping photos, I’ll Have Another galloped again on the dirt track at Pimlico Race Course on Wednesday morning and looked effortless.

While some horses seem to be relaxing during their workouts, the Kentucky Derby winner goes into a full stride and doesn’t seem to be breaking a sweat.

“God, it’s just goose bumps,” trainer Doug O’Neill said. “It’s one of those, I guess if you were like LeBron James’ family member or something just watching him run up and down the court, you’re like, ‘Holy Mackarel.’ “

I’ll Have Another arrived in Baltimore on May 7 and took to the track right away. Rain washed out Tuesday’s work but the colt didn’t miss a beat Wednesday.

“It went great. As a lot of you got a chance to see, he looks fantastic, great energy,” O’Neill said. “He’s maintained his beautiful, long stride. We’re just very happy with each day that goes by.”

O’Neill got to enjoy I’ll Have Another build up his progress at Churchill Downs for the Derby, but he’s comfortable and gliding over the Pimlico dirt with ease.
