BALTIMORE | I’ll Have Another beat a full field of 19 other horses to capture the Kentucky Derby. He’ll have to beat 10 to win the Preakness Stakes, including likely favorite Bodemiester.

The 11-horse field for the Preakness was made official just after noon Wednesday, a few hours before the post-position draw at Pimlico Race Course. Guyana Star Dweej was pulled after a quarter crack, according to his connections.

Six horses return from the Derby: I’ll Have Another, Bodemeister, Daddy Nose Best, Optimizier, Went the Day Well and Creative Cause. They’re joined by so-called new shooters Cozzetti, Pretension, Teeth of the Dog, Tiger Walk and Zetterholm.

Post positions will be chosen at 6 p.m. Bodemeister is likely to be the morning-line favorite with I’ll Have Another a close second.
