The Washington Commanders are halfway through training camp, and on the latest District of Sports, sports reporters George Gerbo and Liam Griffin break down Washington’s first preseason action against the Miami Dolphins, a 20-7 home win.
The guys take a look at how key position battles are playing out at wide receiver and tight end, including the addition of Maryland native Stefon Diggs to the receiving corps, and how backup quarterbacks Sam Hartman and Athan Kaliakmanis are faring this camp after No. 2 QB Marcus Mariota was injured early against the Dolphins.
Liam and George also get into the tiff between quarterback Jayden Daniels and his alma mater, LSU, over his name, image and likeness after the school issued his No. 5 for the first time since his 2023 Heisman Trophy season.
