Trump says he delayed aid to Ukraine to force other nations to contribute

Donald Trump flips Ukraine furor on Joe Biden, son Hunter Biden

President Trump accused Democratic presidential front-runner Joseph R. Biden on Monday of enabling his son to profit from foreign connections when he was vice president, while the Biden campaign countered that Mr. Trump is trying to distract from his efforts to pressure Ukraine for dirt on the 2020 rival he most fears.

Trump calls on U.N. to protect religious freedom around world

President Trump on Monday became the first sitting U.S. president to call on foreign leaders at the U.N. to protect religious freedom around the world, saying nations have an "urgent moral duty" to stop persecution of the faithful and the destruction of religious sites.

Donald Trump says media protecting Biden over probe of his son in Ukraine

President Trump said Saturday the media is "fabricating" a story about him pressuring the president of Ukraine to investigate the son of Democratic frontrunner Joseph R. Biden, while ignoring a story about Mr. Biden essentially blackmailing Ukrainian leaders to lay off his son. Meanwhile, campaigning in Iowa, Mr. Biden angrily accused the president of "using every element of his presidency to try and smear me." He called for an investigation into Mr. Trump's phone call with the Ukrainian president.

Whistleblower complaint involves Donald Trump, foreign leader

A top House Democrat accused the administration Thursday of stonewalling a probe into a national security whistleblower's complaint against President Trump by raising executive privilege, but Presidents Bill Clinton and Barack Obama also insisted on the right to privilege in such cases.

U.S., China agree to new round of trade talks

China said Thursday it will resume trade talks with the U.S. and send top negotiators to Washington in early October, causing stock markets to soar amid rumblings from Beijing that the new round of talks will halt an escalating tariff war.
