Hachimura’s long-awaited return poses lineup crunch for Wizards

Aside from the excitement (and relief) of Wizards forward Rui Hachimura coming back from his hiatus -- which spanned Washington's first 39 games due to unknown personal reasons -- the challenge for coach Wes Unseld Jr. is to make the most of the team's complicated roster.

Rejuvenated Ovechkin playing at MVP level for Capitals

Between chasing down records, scoring (and assisting) at an elite pace, leading the NHL in All-Star voting, having the No. 1 jersey in the league and being a midseason candidate for the Hart Trophy -- Washington Capitals star Alex Ovechkin may, once again, be in the prime of his career.

Confidence in the clutch has Kuzma emerging as Beal’s co-star

Wizards forward Kyle Kuzma is statistically one of the most clutch players in the NBA this season, and his success in tight games is a big reason the Wizards are a league-best 15-3 in games that come down to the wire. It speaks to the confidence that doesn't just live in Kuzma's closet. It's an assuredness that shows up on the court, when it counts, in the clutch.

With a nine-point lead at halftime, all the Washington Football Team offense needed to do in the second half was not put up a dud. So, naturally, that's what Taylor Heinicke and company did in the second half of Sunday's 20-16 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Coach says Antonio Brown ‘no longer’ with Buccaneers after sideline meltdown

In the third quarter, with Tampa Bay trailing the Jets, Brown took off his pads and uniform, threw his gloves and undershirt into the stands and jogged shirtless off the field while waving to fans. Brown wasn't ejected by the officials, and it wasn't clear as of Sunday evening what led to the incident.

Capitals getting boost from centers following COVID-19 pause

Coach Peter Laviolette finally has the veterans he's been missing all season. Washington's top four centers -- Nicklas Backstrom, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Lars Eller and Nic Dowd -- are all back in the lineup together for the first time this season.

Rodgers, Brown on brink of rewards after misleading about COVID-19 vaccination status

Aaron Rodgers, who misled reporters about his vaccination status in the preseason, isn't the only athlete who was deceptive about his vaccination status, and he isn't the only one who is thriving. Buccaneers wide receiver Antonio Brown, fresh off his three-game suspension for submitting a fake vaccination card, is close to hitting incentives in his contract and gearing up for a playoff run.
