Mike Glenn grew up on Navy bases as the son of a career sailor but then decided to annoy his father and joined the Army after he graduated from high school in the Dallas area. He did a hitch as an enlisted soldier in Germany during the Cold War, where he spent a considerable amount of time in the field on maneuvers. After leaving the Army, he moved back home to northeast Texas and entered the University of Texas at Arlington where he studied history. He also took Army ROTC classes at UT Arlington and upon graduation received a commission as a Second Lieutenant. He was assigned to the 3rd Cavalry Regiment at Fort Bliss in El Paso and took his platoon to the Middle East where he fought in the Gulf War. He got into journalism after Operation Desert Storm and has worked at newspapers and magazines throughout Texas. He joined The Washington Times from the Houston Chronicle. Intelligence mission yanked for National Guard unit where leaks occurred

The Air Force on Tuesday stripped a Massachusetts Air National Guard unit of its intelligence mission after a lone airman there was accused of leaking potentially hundreds of classified military documents, including material about the state of Ukraine's ongoing war against Russia and U.S. assessments of Taiwan's ability to withstand an attack by China.

Suspected Pentagon leaker arraigned in federal court in Boston

A member of the Massachusetts Air National Guard remains in custody after he was charged in connection with the release of hundreds of classified documents to an online gaming chat server, while prosecutors disclosed that a social media platform provided information that led to the suspect.

Low-level National Guard Airman arrested over sensational intel leaks

The FBI on Thursday arrested 21-year-old National Guard Airman Jack Teixeira in connection with a massive leak of highly classified U.S. intelligence documents, while suspicions deepened that the leak might have become intertwined with a disinformation and influence operation run by a foreign adversary of the United States.

Norway boots Russian spies as tension in Europe rises over Ukraine war

Norway ordered more than a dozen Russian diplomats to leave the country, accusing them of spying for the Kremlin while working at their embassy in Oslo. U.S. sends Green Berets to Ukraine, says leaked Pentagon documents
