Democrats press Biden to invoke wartime powers to tackle gas prices

Some Democrats on Capitol Hill are escalating the pressure on President Biden to take alternative measures to boost domestic energy production, including invoking wartime executive powers to combat the global energy crisis that has sent U.S. gasoline prices soaring.

Senate Republicans seek Russian uranium ban

A number of Republican senators will unveil legislation Thursday to ban imports of Russian uranium, a move that would further constrict the flow of U.S. dollars into Moscow's war chest by adding yet another energy source to the list of those embargoed by America over the war against Ukraine.
