Immigration bills set for House vote next week

House Republicans have reached a deal to vote on two immigration bills next week, Speaker Paul D. Ryan's office said Tuesday, setting the stage for a high-stakes floor showdown over the fate of millions of illegal immigrants.

No major breakthroughs in House plan for immigration

Moderate House Republicans were about to blow their own self-imposed deadline Tuesday for reaching a deal with conservatives on an immigration compromise, with unresolved questions lingering over how much new border security and interior enforcement will be added to a broad amnesty for "Dreamers."
