Supreme Court to speed DACA case

The Supreme Court said Tuesday it will speed up a case involving the Trump administration's request to cancel the Obama-era DACA deportation amnesty, moving to grab a piece of the unfolding immigration debate.

Dreamers reject Democrats’ shutdown deal

The immigration and liberal groups that pushed Democrats into a government shutdown blasted the party for caving Monday, saying lawmakers bungled the fight, gave up too early and walked away without any substantive gains.

Mitch McConnell pledges full immigration debate

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Monday he will ignite another massive immigration debate -- the fourth in the past 12 years -- in coming weeks, as he sought to convince Democrats to end a filibuster that has shut the government down.

A key group of illegal immigrant "Dreamers" said Sunday that a deal lawmakers are considering to reopen the government with a promise to turn to immigration soon isn't good enough, heaping more pressure on Democrats to keep the shutdown going.
