What you get when you have colossal confederations of 14 or 16 teams is the need to slightly re-tool league schedules every season.
Georgetown‘s (along with the rest of the Big East’s) happened to be unveiled today.

With an 18-game league schedule again, the Hoyas get three home-and-home opponents (Cincinnati, Marquette and Syracuse). Last season, Georgetown drew Louisville, St. John’s and Syracuse twice.
As for the other dozen conference opponents, here’s the breakdown:
HOME: DePaul, Louisville, Pittsburgh, Providence, Rutgers and West Virginia
ROAD: Connecticut, Notre Dame, St. John’s, Seton Hall, South Florida, Villanova
There’s nothing too earth-shattering in that regard; the Georgetown plays each school home and away at least once in two seasons (2007-08 and 2008-09), which is about what it should be.
