The ACC just mailed out the first three weeks worth of kickoff times for the 2008 season. And then again.

They’ll only get listed once here, but that’s OK.

First for Maryland: The opener on Aug. 30 against Delaware has landed on ESPNU. And rather than the typical 6 p.m. start time, it is a more deadline-friendly 3:45 p.m. How thoughtful.

The Terrapins’ visit to Middle Tennessee on Sept. 6 will start at 7 p.m. and be televised by Comcast SportsNet. And a week later, California’s visit to Byrd Stadium will kick off at noon and will be televised by ESPN or ESPN2.

As for Virginia Tech, the Hokies get East Carolina at noon on Aug. 30 (ESPN), Furman in an untelevised 1:30 p.m. game on Sept. 6 and Georgia Tech at home in a 3:30 p.m. game that will be available on either ABC or ESPN. Chances are, it will be a regional option for ABC and available in other areas on cable.

Virginia, of course, opens with a visit from Southern California on Aug. 30 in another one of those 3:30 p.m. ABC/ESPN swing games. Richmond comes to Charlottesville a week later for a 3:45 p.m. meeting (ESPNU), and the Cavaliers make it onto ESPNU again on Sept. 13 with a 7:30 p.m. start at Connecticut.
