Navy’s football game at Central Michigan was moved up a day.

The Midshipmen will now face the Chippewas on Oct. 12. The game will be televised by ESPN2.


It will be Navy’s first non-holiday weekday regular season game since a 16-0 victory at Northern Illinois on Nov. 25, 2008 (a Tuesday). It will be the Mids’ first regular season Friday game since a 35-23 loss at Ball State on Sept. 5, 2008.

It is also the first Navy game to have a set kickoff time for next season:

Sept. 1: vs. Notre Dame in Dublin, Ireland (CBS)
Sept. 15: at Penn State
Sept. 22: VMI (CBS Sports Network)
Sept. 29: San Jose State (CBS Sports Network)

Oct. 6: at Air Force
Oct. 12: at Central Michigan, 8 (ESPN2)
Oct. 20: Indiana (CBS Sports Network)
Oct. 27: at East Carolina

Nov. 3: Florida Atlantic (CBS Sports Network)
Nov. 10: at Troy
Nov. 17: Texas State (CBS Sports Network)

Dec. 8: vs. Army in Philadelphia (CBS)
