One last game in the ACC before the bowls …

* Florida State vs. Georgia Tech (8, ESPN): Seminoles 41-21. Last week, both of the ACC championship game representatives got exposed a bit.

Florida State simply wasn’t as good as a top-five team (Florida). Georgia Tech wasn’t remotely in the same vicinity as a top-five team (Georgia).

That, along with the other 11 games both teams played this season, are more than enough reason to pick the Seminoles to win their first ACC title since 2005. The 6-6 Yellow Jackets wouldn’t be in this game if not for Miami’s self-imposed bowl ban, and they have given up 40 points in six of their last nine games.

Florida State, by the way, averages 41.5 points a game. Chances are, the Seminoles wind up around that number again tonight.

Week 13 record: 5-3 (3-1 conference)
Overall record: 80-27 (33-15 conference)
ACC record: 72-24 (33-15 conference)
Preseason ACC record: 71-25 (32-16 conference)
Navy record: 8-3
