Maryland will visit Northwestern in this year’s ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Nov. 27.

The Terrapins will face the Wildcats for the first time in the Challenge (which will be contested for the 14th time) and only the second time ever. Northwestern beat Maryland 66-62 on Dec. 6, 1958.

Maryland is coming off a 17-15 season and returns three starters. Northwestern, which has never reached the NCAA tournament, went 19-14 last season and lost in the second round of the NIT. The Wildcats do lose forward John Shurna, the leading scorer in school history with 2,038 points.

Maryland is 9-4 all-time in the Challenge, while Northwestern is 6-7.

Game times and network assignments will be announced at a later date, though ESPN. ESPN2 and ESPNU will combine to broadcast the 12 games.
