In the midst of their knock-down, drag-out fight for the U.S. Senate, Massachusetts Sen. Scott Brown and his Democratic opponent, Elizabeth Warren, shared something deeply personal on Thursday: celebrating their wedding anniversaries.
The Boston Globe reported that Mrs. Warren married her husband, Bruce Mann, on July 12, 1980, in Farmington, Conn. Exactly six years later, Mr. Brown married his wife, Gail Huff, in Medford, Mass.

That makes 32 years of marriage for Mrs. Warren and 26 years for Mr. Brown. Both candidates will pause their campaigning to commemorate the day with their respective spouses, their campaigns said.
Mr. Brown will fly home from Washington later in the day to share “a romantic dinner in Boston,” said spokeswoman Alleigh Marre. And Mrs. Warren said her spouse always takes her out to dinner and gives her one rose for each year they have been married, which she later dries and places in a spice-filled sachet in her closet.
