The Obama campaign already is using the Supreme Court decision on the 2010 health care law to drum up donations — even hours before the long-awaited decision is expected to be announced.

“Friend, we don’t know what will happen this morning. But no matter what, today is an important day to have Barack Obama’s back,” Obama campaign manager Jim Messina wrote in an email to supporters. “If you’re with him, donate now — before this week’s critical fundraising deadline.”

The last two words of the email, “more soon,” is an early sign at the tidal wave of ads, fundraising pitches and campaign messages expected from both sides in the aftermath of the high court’s ruling.
