Researchers are heralding an insomnia drug that helps combat sleep problems associated with jet lag and shift work, Reuters is reporting.

Insomnia drug? Isn’t that just some fancy term for “sleeping pill?” Sounds like a pill that helps you sleep. But you can charge more for it if you call it an “insomnia drug.”


I hope they don’t find a cure for insomnia. There are plenty of things that should keep you awake at night — a fear of burglars, a sick child, a dripping faucet, financial worries, job loss. Compared to those, insomnia is a blessing.
