Scientists have found the fossil of a previously unknown species of a giant flying reptile — the largest ever uncovered, the BBC is reporting.

The creature had a huge jaw and a wingspan of more than 16 feet, and it darkened the skies over what is now Brazil about 115 million years ago.


I think I remember seeing a depiction of it on TV. Ptrans-Pterodactyl Airlines used one as an airplane in “The Flintstones.”
