O.J. Simpson and his co-defendant, before they were convicted on armed robbery and kidnapping charges, rejected a plea bargain that would have netted them shorter prison sentences, the AP is reporting.

The judge sentenced O.J. to 15 years in prison — and he could serve as many as 33 years.


You see, O.J. thought he was not guilty. As he told the judge Friday, he didn’t know it was a crime to burst into a hotel room with four armed men, order no one to leave and demand the occupant to hand over his merchandise.

Maybe he’ll read up on criminal law while he’s in the pokey. He’ll have plenty of time — at least nine years, if he can get parole.
