An appeals court in Minnesota has rejected Sen. Larry Craig‘s appeal to vacate his guilty plea to a disorderly conduct stemming from an incident in which a police said Craig had solicited sex in an airport men’s room, the Hill is reporting.

Craig had argued that the case was not investigated fully. Hey, Larry. There’s not much reason to investigate after you plead guilty.

You might remember that Craig explained his foot touching an undercover officer’s foot in the stall next to his by saying that he has “a wide stance.” I still get a chuckle from that one.

Craig opted not to seek re-election this year. That’s a shame, because it would have been an interesting race to watch.
