Space shuttle astronauts have begun collecting urine samples to test a device that will turn the waste water into drinking water, the AP is reporting.

It’s a shame, really. You spend years in college studying astrophysics and organic biology. You train your body for hours a day in rigorous fitness regimes. You compete with hundreds of other top-flight wannabes. You endure endless hours of tests, simulations, examinations, trial runs and false starts.

All to become an astronaut. And collect urine samples.

And everybody now knows you wear a diaper on the job.
