Ben Smith of Politico points out a curious comment by Howard Wolfson, spokesman for the Clinton campaign, in Time magazine’s roundup of campaign moments that mattered.

Wolfson waxes on about the impact of the Drudge Report, about how near the end of the campaign he had nightmares about Drudge’s “sirens.”

Nightmares about sirens aren’t something to talk about, not publicly anyway. If you’re going to talk publicly about your nightmares, there had better be some flesh-eating ghouls or headless zombies in there somewhere.

Then again, don’t we have enough of that in poliitcs already?
