When US Airways pilot Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger landed a jetliner on the Hudson River last month, he had a library book in the cargo hold, the AP is reporting.

Library officials at California State Univsersity, Fresno, waived his overdue fees when he recently asked for an extension. The subject of the borrowed book is professional ethics.

It’s good that he practices what he reads.

This gives me hope that if I ever have to ditch a jetliner, the library will give me an extension on my borrowed books.  Not likely though.  They’re strict.
