London’s mayor will fly the U.S. flag over City Hall on Tuesday to celebrate the inauguration of Barack Obama as the 44th American president, the Guardian is reporting.

More than 200 years after the American Revolution, London is surrendering to the U.S.  Makes me wonder what the French are up to.

The U.S. has a special relationship with the United Kingdom, our closest ally in just about everything.  But I don’t think we’ll be flying the Union Jack over Washington when Queen Elizabeth’s successor takes the throne.  That’s just my guess.
